For five generations, the Aurelis atelier has pursued a single obsession — the quiet perfection of the mechanical second. Thirty-eight artisans. One bench at a time.
I — The Maison
In the winter of 1897, watchmaker Henri Aurelis opened a single bench above a bookbinder on the Rue du Rhône. His first movement — Calibre A-00 — took fourteen months to finish and was sold, it is said, before the final screw was set.
Little has changed in the way we work. Every bridge is bevelled by hand, every dial fired in a grand feu kiln, every watch regulated in five positions across fifteen days. We release fewer than four hundred timepieces a year — not from scarcity of ambition, but from respect for the hours each one demands.
The Maison remains family-held, in its fifth generation.
II — The Collection
Each reference is produced in a numbered series and accompanied by its atelier dossier, recording every hand it has passed through.

III — The Craft
Dials are engraved on a 1904 rose engine, one pass at a time — a single dial occupies a full day.
Fired at 820 °C, four layers deep. Roughly one dial in three survives the kiln.
Bridges are bevelled and polished by hand to a mirror edge — a finish machines cannot follow into the corners.
Regulated in five positions over fifteen days, guaranteed for five years, serviced for as long as the Maison exists.
IV — The Signature
A midnight-blue aventurine sky, a golden moon accurate to one day in 122 years, and beneath it, an aura of quiet that no complication can quite explain.
Limited to 97 numbered pieces per year. Each is presented on velvet, in the salon, by the watchmaker who regulated it.
Reserve a Presentation“An Aurelis is not worn to be noticed. It is worn to be understood.”
— Julian Hartwell, collector, London
V — Private Viewing
Viewings are held one guest at a time, in the salon above the atelier. Allow ninety minutes; the coffee is slow and the drawers are deep.
